From Order to Delivery - Density

Hello and thank you for purchasing Density.



You are surely very impatient to receive it and we understand. We have many customers giving us feedback saying that they could no longer live without it.



But as you will see in this article, a revolutionary product like Density cannot be delivered overnight, and we would like to tell you why.



You can, of course, ask us any questions you wish by email at customer@densityblankets.com – but before that, we suggest that you read this article, which will answer most of your questions, such as:

  • When will I receive my Density? 
  • Why haven't I received a tracking code? 
  • Why my parcel is not moving for many days?
  • Can I change the delivery schedule?


To reply to these questions, we will explain the steps required for a Density to reach your home and the answers will become clear. Let's start from the beginning: the production of your Density.

The production and packing of your Density

Due to high demand, Density blankets ordered after Sep 22th are manufactured within 7 business days. Sewing the luxurious outer cover is a detailed process taking long hours. And it depends on each weight. You probably never experienced such a luxurious sensation in your hands and on your body. But this is why there is a time of preparation and manufacturing before shipping your Density.

To know the amount of time needed for preparation and manufacture, you can refer to the date indicated in the email that you received immediately after your purchase with the subject: "Order #XXXX confirmed.”

As you can see, Density is a real success that helps thousands of people sleep better and reduce stress, so it is possible that shipping dates may be delayed for a few days due to volume.

Indeed, each Density is designed and assembled by hand by a specialized team from our trusted manufacturer in China, and no blankets leave the warehouse without being carefully inspected. These operations take time and resources, but we prefer to focus on quality rather than quantity, and we will keep you informed of any delays by email if this should occur.

The delivery process

After being properly manufactured, tested and safely packed, your Density is forwarded to the shipping agent that will proceed as follows to deliver your Density right to your home. Please note that the shipping can take up to 10 business days for the US and up to 15 business days for Canada and Australia. Here is the shipping process detailed for the US:

- Business day 1 and 2: All packages are handed over to the shipping agent and are carefully labeled with your delivery address. You receive a tracking code, but it will not be functional for about 7 business days, and you will see why below.

- Business day 3 to 7: Packages are sent in batches of a few hundred to the country of destination by a carrier in cooperation with Fedex or UPS. The parcel package takes about 4 business days to arrive at the destination country and about 3 business days to cross the border. They then check that all taxes and duties have been settled.

- Business day 7 to 10: Packages are delivered to Fedex or UPS according to your shipping address and it is only from this moment that your order tracking code will be updated by Fedex or UPS themselves. A few days later, your Density will be delivered to your home in a secure package.

We understand that it would be more convenient to be able to track your package from day one, but this is unfortunately not possible for the reason that we use a shipper other than Fedex or UPS for the first part of the delivery. This way, we have been able to significantly reduce delivery costs (and thus offer free shipping), as well as dramatically reduce our carbon footprint.

So do not worry if your package keep saying the following and is not moving in the shipping process for the first 7 business days for the US and 12 business days for Canada:

  • UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later.
  • Order Processed: Ready for UPS
  • Shipping label has been created. The status will be updated when shipment begins to travel. 

This is normal and it simply means that your package has not yet been taken into account by Fedex or UPS. But we can assure you that if you have received your tracking code, your Density is on its way to your home.

Tracking and receiving your parcel

A few days before delivery (from day 7 to day 10 approximately), you will be able to know the exact date and time of delivery by following your package with your tracking code. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Copy the tracking code you received with the email "A shipment from order #XXXX is on the way."
  2. Go to the following address:

If your tracking code has not been updated yet, please try again a few days later. And once again, don't worry if the status of your shipment is still has not changed for days. It only means that Fedex or UPS does not yet have the parcel because it has not passed the destination country border yet, but we can assure you that your Density is on its way to your home.

From the tracking page, you can also change the delivery schedule if you wish. To do so, you can also call them directly Fedex or UPS at the following number:

Assembling and taking full advantage of your Density

Your new blanket is a TWO-part blanket consisting of an inner weighted section and an outer cover. 


It is important to properly secure the inner weighted section to the cover on the inside of the blanket prior to using it in order to prevent the inner weighted section from moving and bunching up during use. 


To do this, open the zipper on the edge of the blanket and locate the tie-down ribbons located on the inside of the cover, then feed them through the loops sewn onto the inner weighted section (note that tie-downs are located in each of the 4 corners as well as along the side).

All weighted blankets are naturally warmer than a traditional blanket. If you are a hot sleeper, it may be necessary to lower the temperature of the room by a few degrees to make sleeping more comfortable.

Before using, we suggest to wash the cover, which will be more clean before using it.

  • When will I receive my Density?
    • To know your delivery date, find the shipping date received on the email "Order #XXXX confirmed.” or a more recent delivery update email and add 7 to 10 business days to it.
  • Why haven't I received a tracking code?
    • If you haven't received your tracking code, it is because your order is still in preparation and we may have been delayed. If we are not able to ship your Density at the initial shipping date, you should have received an email with an updated shipping date. We apologize for that, but once again, we prefer to choose quality over quantity.
  • Why hasn’t my parcel moved for many days?
    • Once you receive your tracking code, the status of your parcel will remain the same for 5 to 7 business days because a forwarder other than Fedex or UPS is taking care of the shipping up to the border's destination country. It is only at the destination country that Fedex or UPS will handle your parcel and update your tracking code.
  • Can I change the delivery schedule?
    • You can change your delivery schedule directly on the tracking page of Fedex or UPS, or you can call them directly by calling at the corresponding number shown at the section "Tracking and receiving your parcel" above.
